Sadly, not the best platform for this particular game

Publisher Private Division and developer Obsidian have finally released the first DLC for The Outer Worlds, Peril on Gorgon, on the Nintendo Switch. This is the last platform to get the DLC, which was initially launched on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (also playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S via backwards compatibility).

Those of you who bought The Outer Worlds on the Switch might as well pick up the new DLC too since it introduces new characters and a new zone. Peril on Gorgon is now available for purchase from the Nintendo eShop for $14.99, but if you liked the base game, why not buy The Outer Worlds Expansion Pass bundle?

The Outer Worlds has been seriously downgraded graphics-wise to make it work on the Switch, and even that wasn't enough to make it run smoothly on Nintendo's gaming platform. Anyway, if you're looking to continue your adventures in The Outer Worlds universe, Peril on Gorgon is a must-buy, and you can read our preview to better understand why.

Peril on Gorgon starts with players receiving a strange message that beckons them to investigate the Gorgon Asteroid, a remote scientific facility that was once a beacon of crowning achievement in developing Adrena-Time, a modern marvel which improved health and worker productivity.

The Outer Worlds' first DLC brings a host of additional content for players, as well as some important gameplay features. As expected, the DLC raises the level cap within the game to allow for more flexibility in skill customization and there are more perks and flaws which can provide rare bonuses or unique obstacles.

In addition, the expansion introduces three new science weapons, a variety of new armor sets, and new creature variants to battle. A second DLC for Obsidian's The Outer Worlds called Murder on Eridanos is set to land before the end of March.
