The month of July 2022 isn’t as rich in new releases as the previous months of the year, but most of the titles are high quality. It’s safe to assume that most of us, gamers, would always take quality over quantity, so let’s just think of July as a buffer month before the last quarter of the year when it becomes a bit more crowded.

That said, let’s deep dive into the game releases of July 2022, and we’ll be starting with one of the biggest titles of the month, F1 2022. The new entry in the iconic racing series drops on July 1 on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Four days later, Arcadegeddon, a multiplayer/co-op shooter is scheduled to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also join PlayStation Plus on July 5, so there’s no need to buy it if you’re a PS Plus member.

The next game coming out in July is Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series, which is expected to release on Nintendo Switch on the 8th. What we believe to be an indie gem, Neon Blight, a neon-rogue-lite, store management, shoot’em up, is coming to PC on July 11.

Two Panoramic Editions for the cult classic indie Monument Valley are launching on PC on July 12, so if you haven’t played them yet, now would be a good time to pick them up. Another interesting RPG platformer, Krut: The Mythic Wings, is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on July 12.

The Zelda-inspired XEL, an epic 3D sci-fi fantasy action-adventure game, is scheduled for release on PC and Nintendo Switch on July 12, followed by platformer roguelite action Loopmancer, which is expected to land on PC on July 13.

We have another indie coming out on the same day, July 13, and it’s called The Tale of Bistun. This one launches for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Three new indies are expected to launch on July 14: Super UFO Fighter (PC, Nintendo Switch), Legends of Kingdom Rush (PC), and Clanfolk, a Steam Early Access title.

A wholesome, music-filled arcade rhythm, Loud will launch on Nintendo Switch on July 15, before coming to PC. One of the most anticipated games of 2022, Star, also know as the “cat simulator” is finally coming out on PC, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on July 19.

After being hyped during Microsoft’s Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase earlier this month, As Dusk Falls will debut on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on July 19, alongside another very different indie title, Endling - Extinction is Forever (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch.

Atmospheric adventure Wayward Strand is expected to arrive on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on July 21, along with retro shooter Post Void, which has already been released on PC two years ago, but it’s not making its debut on PlayStation 4/5 and Nintendo Switch.

Live A Live, the old RPG developed by Square Enix is launching for Nintendo Switch on July 22, alongside Capcom Arcade 2nd Stadium (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch).

The last few days of the month will bring us two smaller games and one of the most anticipated JRPGs of the year. First, we have Bear & Breakfast (PC, Nintendo Switch) and Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony (PC) coming on July 28.

Last but not least, the third major installment in the Xenoblade saga, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 has been confirmed to arrive on Nintendo Switch on July 29. These are some of the most important game releases of July 2022, but more titles might be launched next month, so we’ll update the list if we get additional information.
