A new season for The Division 2 has just made its debut this week, but the highlight of the story is the brand-new Summit Mode that Ubisoft recently revealed. A new PvE mode is making its way to The Division 2, challenging players to take on 100 floors of enemies from every faction.

In Summit Mode, players will be rewarded with unique loot (including a new exotic), and a special confrontation at the very top. Keep in mind that the Summit Mode can be played in squads or solo, so even if you don't have a group of friends to play with, you can still try it out. It will probably be more difficult, but the rewards will be higher.

As mentioned earlier, the new mode comes alongside Title Update 11 and the launch of Season 3, which adds a new Manhunt target: Black Tusk leader Bardon Schaffer.

You're probably thrilled to jump into the new content, but you might want to know that The Summit and Season 3 are only available to players who own the Warlords of New York expansion. Title Update 11 is free for everyone, as it brings lots of changes, including Appearance Mods, improved loot, and Agnostic Mod slots.

Title Update 11 introduces a transmogrification system for players called Appearance Mods, which allows them to change the appearance of their gear to look like their favorite pieces, while still having the best gear equipped.

Players will be able to change the appearance of masks, backpacks, chests, kneepads, gloves, and holsters, as well as gear sets. The gear that's been transmogrified can even be dyed, but weapons and exotics are excluded from the system.

Those who haven't tried Ubisoft's most recent MMOFPS will be able to do so for free from September 24-28, as The Division 2 free weekend debuts on all platforms. One other important thing worth adding is that all those who tune into The Division 2 Twitch streams between now and October 6, will be eligible to earn free Legacy caches and a milkshake backpack trophy.
