Ubisoft has just announced that The Crew 2 will start getting seasonal content going forward. After two years of live support, the French developer decided to introduce a new seasonal system for the open world motorsports game, The Chase.

The Chase is the first episode of the latest update and it's now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC for free. The major update focuses on a new company in-game TV show called Motorflix, which is known for creating some of the best in motor-fueled action flicks. Apparently, players will be recruited to play the starring role in different TV series with seasonal, themed episodes.

The Crew 2 players should expect that every season will last 4 months. Each season will comprise of two successive episodes running for 2 months. The Chase is the first episode of the season and lets players play as an elite Interception Unit driver of Vault Corp, a private bank.

With the addition of Motorflix, The Crew 2 players will get access to new ways to unlock content through a brand-new feature: the Motorpass. The Motorpass is a new, optional multi-tiered reward system, that players can progress through by completing Daily and Seasonal Challenges.

Basically, it's a battle pass that has recently become the pillar of every online, multiplayer game. Every The Crew 2's episode comes with its own Motorpass, made of 50 tiers offering both Free and Premium Rewards, including exclusive vehicles. However, to unlock Premium Rewards, players must purchase the Premium Motorpass for 80,000 Crew Credits.

The Crew 2 Season 1's two episodes will continue vehicle drops, such as the Chevrolet C8 Stingray 2020 or the Lamborghini Veneno Interception Unit 2013. In total, 28 new vehicles are available for all players to earn or purchase this season. Also, every episode brings new themed events, that set the scene and music for clashes with new opponents. The Chase adds four new special-themed events that will allow all players to unlock exclusive rewards as well as a new game mode in which players must take down enemy vehicles, in solo or co-op mode.
