14 DAY TRIAL // Modern Family star Sarah Hyland is the latest victim of hackers, as her naked pictures were stolen and posted online earlier this week.
While it’s not yet clear how her pictures ended up being posted online, most likely as a result of a hack, there are also reports that the woman in the photo isn’t actually Sarah Hyland, but a celebrity lookalike.
On the other hand, Hyland has remained completely tight-lipped on the leak so far, threatening through the voice of her spokesperson that she’s ready to take legal action against any outlet that publishes the content.
The nude dump includes not only photos of a woman who looks like Hyland, but also at least a video of a more sexual nature, all of which was clearly supposed to be private.
Leak via iCloud?
Removing the pictures from the Internet is typically a thing that’s nearly impossible to do, especially because there are several sites that repost them after being taken down following legal requests.
One of the websites hosting the photos allegedly showing Sarah Hyland has already faced legal action in the past, so it remains to be seen if administrators plan to remove this new batch of photos showing the Modern Family star.
At this point, the latest photo dump doesn’t seem to include any other celebrities, though if this is the case we expect more information to surface soon.
The leak takes place nearly 3 years after the famous scandal called Fappening and which involved photos of a long series of celebrities getting published online.
At that point, the leak was said to have happened through iCloud, Apple’s cloud service, and there’s a chance that this is the case with Sarah Hyland too. In some of the pictures, the actress uses an iPhone to take the photos, and this increases the chances of iCloud to be configured and running on the device.
