Dell has released the Mobile Connect app on the Microsoft Store, so all users can download it right now to bring their Windows 10 devices in sync with Android and iOS.

Pretty much an alternative to Microsoft’s very own Your Phone app, Dell Mobile Connect comes with an impressive feature lineup that includes functionality not yet available elsewhere.

For example, there’s a mirroring feature that comes with extra options, such as dimming screens to reduce battery consumption while the phone is connected to the device. Users also get access to Android group text messaging, while the latest version also introduces support for third-party app notifications on an iPhone.

The feature lineup also includes tools to start and receive phone calls and talk with your contact using the speaker and microphone, view contacts, and launch apps on the phone right on the PC screen with the said screen mirroring.

System requirements

Dell Mobile Connect requires Android 5.0 and newer and at least iOS 10 to be able to sync with mobile phones, though Dell itself says there’s no guarantee all devices would work correctly. Windows 10 Creators Update and newer is also required for the PC.

Despite becoming available to all, the app description published on the Microsoft Store indicates that the Mobile Connect app may not work on older devices.

“Dell PCs purchased before January 2018 are not supported to ensure the highest level of quality you expect from Dell. We are investigating expansion to Dell PCs purchased before January 2018. The companion mobile app is compatible with iOS 10, and above, and Android 5, and above,” it says.

In case the app isn’t listed for download on your local Microsoft Store, you can try out the link here to open it – changing the region could also help to get the app.
