Apple’s upcoming iPhone lineup is expected to introduce four different models, all of them upgrades to the current devices already on the market.
But a concept published on YouTube by ConceptsiPhone envisions a completely revolutionary model that would bring substantial changes, including a secondary display on the back.
As you can see in the video below, the concept proposes a completely different approach as compared to the devices already on the market and sporting a secondary screen.
So instead of having a large display on the back, the so-called iPhone 13 Pro could come with a smaller panel that would be the size of the current camera bump, therefore achieving full symmetry on the back of the device.
The screen can be used for all kinds of gimmicks, including displaying notifications and other information, therefore finally making sense to keep your device face down on the desk.
Portless iPhone
At the same time, the concept also envisions a change that has so far been received with mixed reactions by people out there. The proposed iPhone 13 Pro wouldn’t have any ports, and this is an approach that Apple has reportedly been exploring for quite some time.
A portless iPhone would essentially allow Apple to give up on the Lightning port once and for all, therefore relying exclusively on wireless connections. The company would also enhance the security of the device, as most hacking boxes currently rely on a wired connection to break into the iPhone.
In the meantime, Apple is unlikely to go for such dramatic changes on the upcoming iPhone lineup. The new models will be announced in September, as Apple wants its updated devices to hit the shelves according to the typical calendar, and therefore avoid any potential delays, as it happened for the iPhone 12 family.
