Street Fighter V is still seen as an unfinished title by many of its fans, and the developers at Capcom in charge of the fighting game are aiming to introduce a range of both tweaks and new features in the big March update, which is also set to give players access to the first new character, Alex.

The studio explains that "Alex has been one of the most fan requested characters for Street Fighter V and we’ve put in a lot of work to make him appeal to old school and new players alike. Having made his first appearance in Street Fighter III back in 1997, Alex is a brash grappler whose bold attitude tends to get him in trouble."

For Street Fighter V , the character has solid grappling moves that can deliver a lot of damage, especially when the Power Bomb command grab is used, with the character's long limbs used for mid-range strikes.

For long-range engagements, Alex can also use special attacks to keep opponents off balance and move in for the kill.

Overhaul is the V-Skill, which sees the fighter stretch and leads to a hard hit on his next attack and a damage boost. At the same time, V-Trigger introduces a new clothesline attack that can be charged up and can, during this period, parry and enemy strike, allowing Alex to break guard once the power up is finished.

Heavy Hammer is the critical art for Alex, and Capcom says that players should be able to have enough Fight Money to unlock him if they played through the story mode offered by Street Fighter V.

The March update also adds tutorials and the shop

The incomplete nature of the title becomes apparent, given the extensive challenge elements that Capcom is planning to add later in the month, with demonstrations that will feature beginner intermediate and advanced tutorials that will cover all the core mechanics.

16 lessons will be offered to cover character specific elements, and there are trials that will show gamers how they can best use combos.

Street Fighter V is also getting the in-game shop with the March update, which will offer characters, costumes and more.

An Online Rematch option is added, and there are improvements to the Battle Lounge.

Street Fighter V is also getting a wide range of fixes in the March update, which does not yet have a clear launch date, and gamers can see a list by clicking on the button at the end of this article.
