14 DAY TRIAL // After achieving success on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, Dragon Quest Builders 2 is coming to PC this December. Square Enix confirmed the critically-acclaimed action role-playing sandbox game developed by Omega Force arrives on PC via Steam on December 10.
The game cost $60 and comes with all downloadable content (DLC) that were previously released on the PS4 version Season Pass, including new content, recipes, hairstyles, clothing and new areas to explore. All those who purchase the game will receive the Hotto Stuff Pack, Aquarium Pack and the Modernist Pack DLCs for free.
To make the game even more appealing for PC gamers, Square Enix announced that everyone who purchases the game from today through January 6, 2020, will receive some in-game bonus content that should allow them to customize their Dragon Quest experience.
The in-game bonus content includes the following: Ornamental Medicinal Herb Recipe, Dragon Quest Logo Recipe, Ornamental Chimaera Wing Recipe, Five Sigil Block Recipes for building decorative blocks with sun, stars, moon, water and soul motifs, Legendary Line Art Recipe, and Lo-Res Luminary Recipes.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 is a completely standalone experience and has nothing to do with the popular Dragon Quest series except for some of the iconic characters that are common to both franchises.
In Dragon Quest Builders 2, players take on the role of a young apprentice builder who washes up on the Isle of Awakening alongside Marloth, a mysterious youth suffering from amnesia. The two will explore different islands while developing skills to become a “Master Builder” by helping townsfolk, crafting materials and fighting off enemies.
The game feels and plays very much like Minecraft, but with Dragon Quest characters. There's also an interesting story underneath that you'll want to discover, as well as lots of tools and weapons to find and upgrade. It's the perfect builder for Dragon Quest fans, at least for those who are into this genre.
