14 DAY TRIAL // Song of Horror has met the success it was looking for, so developers have decided to bring the game to additional platforms. After releasing it on PC to raving reviews, Protocol Games announced their game will make it to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Q2 2020.
The episodic horror game will most likely be released in a bundle that console players will be able to buy. Song of Horror tells that story of a famed but now elusive writer, who has gone missing along with his entire family.
Song of Horror is split into five chapters with the first two already available for purchase, and the next three releasing until March 2020. The game draws inspiration from iconic horror franchises like Alone in the Dark, Resident Evil and Silent Hill, so if you're a fan of these games, you'll absolutely love Song of Horror.
“It’s almost time for the next step in the Song of Horror story, and that means bringing the game we’ve spent years working on to a new audience. Consoles have always been the traditional home of survival-horror games, so it’s great to be able to bring our entry in the genre to players who we know love these games as much as we do. We can’t wait,” said Ignacio Fernández, co-founder of Protocol Games, the studio behind Song of Horror.
Meanwhile, PC players are gearing up for the third episode which is set to arrive on December 13. If you haven't bought all five episodes in advance yet, you have until December 31 to buy the Founder Limited Edition at a discounted price of $20 / €20 / £17.
Starting next year, the Founder Limited Edition will be replaced with the Complete Nightmare Season Pass, which will give players access to four episodes but will require the base game. The season pass will be available for purchase for $22 / €22 / £19.
