14 DAY TRIAL // Shuttle announced the expansion of its fanless all-in-one desktop with the addition of three models that bring larger displays and more computing power.
Desktop computers are usually bulky and come in a separate case from the monitors, but that’s really a rule. All-in-one computers can perform many of the same tasks, with a much smaller enclosure, making them a perfect tool for office work or in a kiosk.
Shuttle offers three different base models, each with different hardware so that clients can choose something aimed at their business. The latest additions include a much bigger 19-inch display (49.5 cm) and a 1600 x 900 resolution. The unit is basically just a little bigger than the screen bezel, with 48.7 × 32.1 × 4.4 cm (WHD) overall dimensions.
It’s small but powerful
Despite the small size of the XPC P90U series, the new version incorporates a touch screen display and various hardware configurations, that culminates with Core i5-7200U version.
“Inside the base model, an efficient Intel Celeron 3865U processor with 2x 1.8 GHz and HD Graphics 610 provides plenty of computing power. Two more powerful versions are also available that go by the model names P90U3 and P90U5. The P90U3 sports an Intel Core i3-7100U processor clocked at 2.4 GHz with Intel HD Graphics 620, while it is a Core i5-7200U (max. 3.1 GHz, Intel HD Graphics 620) on the P90U5. All versions feature two SO-DIMM slots for a total of 32 GB of DDR4 memory,” explains Shuttle in their latest announcement.
It's also work noting that all P90U models come with IP54 certification, which means that they are splash-proof. Not to mention the fact that no fans are used in any of the models, making them ideal for noise-sensitive environments and constant 24/7 operation.
Furthermore, the case allows for a 2.5-inch drive (HDD/SSD) and an NVMe SSD in the M.2 format, and webcam, microphone, speaker, WLAN, Bluetooth, and Gigabit Ethernet are already integrated.
The recommended price for the XPC Barebone P90U is € 465, for P90U3 is €691, and the P90U5 sits at €777.
