Travel all over the world in a body of a deadly mech

Despite being a sci-fi shooter, Urgaun doesn’t take itself too seriously. Playing as a “cute-but-deadly” mech unit is the perfect description of the game’s “protagonist.” Scheduled to arrive in about two months from now, Uragun has been in development for a few years, so the latest trailer highlights the changes it went through over the course of its development cycle.

The transformation that the game has undergone in the last two years is quite impressive, but don’t expect triple A visuals, this is, after all, an indie game developed by a small independent studio (Kool2Play).

That being said, Uragun is a sci-fi top-down shooter in which players jump into the role of a mech and then take on hordes of AI-controlled robots. To spice up the gameplay, developers included an upgrade system for the weaponry, as well as lots of modifications, and skills that players can learn.

We’re not sure about the story, but we do know that Uragun happens in visually different locations, such as cyberpunk Hong Kong, hot and sandy Barcelona, or the frosty Canyon. Virtually, you’ll be traveling all over the globe while playing Uragun, and you’re probably not even know it.

There will be many dynamic missions available in the game, and opponents can be destroyed in multiple ways using different weapon sets (shotgun and rocket launcher, or a futuristic boomerang).

According to developer Kool2Play, there’s still a lot of work to do for Uragun to be ready for prime time, but anxious players can pick this one up in March when the game will debut in Early Access on Steam.

Uragun already has its own Steam page so that players can wishlist it, but it’s not yet available for pre-orders since it doesn’t have an exact release date. Check out the comparison video and if you like what you see, make sure to wishlist Uragun to be notified when it debuts in Early Access in about two months from now.
