As long as you buy a Galaxy S10, of course

Samsung has launched a trade-in program that allows customers who want to purchase a Galaxy S10 to get a hefty discount by simply giving up on their own phones.

The company is thus offering at least $200 discounts for nearly every phone, including here iPhones, no matter their condition. In other words, as long as your iPhone is working, turns on, and isn’t blacklisted by Apple (so you didn’t steal it), you can get this price cut towards the purchase of a Galaxy S10.

Samsung’s trade-in program includes both old and new iPhones. For example, the $200 discount is offered for devices like iPhone 6 and iPhone SE, while new-generation models like the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are worth $300 in Samsung’s opinion.

Galaxy S10e available for just $449.99

Of course, $200 for an old iPhone 6 might sound like a pretty good deal, but on the other hand, getting just $300 for an iPhone XS Max is certainly something that Apple buyers won’t like.

Samsung’s trade-in program can be used for other models from LG, Motorola, and even Google, so as long as you agree to trade-in an old phone and purchase a Galaxy S10, you’re eligible for the $200 price cut.

The trade-ins are offered towards the purchase of any Samsung Galaxy S10, so if you choose the base Galaxy S10e configuration, the overall price you have to pay is substantially lowered.

For example, the unlocked Galaxy S10e is available unlocked with 128GB storage in the United States for $749.99, so if you trade in a $300 smartphone, the final cost of the device is $449.99.

The standard Galaxy S10 starts at $899.99 in the United States, while the Galaxy S10+ is available from $999 without any discounts applied.
