14 DAY TRIAL // Samsung has unveiled today the long-anticipated Galaxy Note 9 phablet during a Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event that's being live streamed as we speak on the Samsung.com website or on Samsung's YouTube channel, which you can watch below.
Continuing its long-time tradition of releasing a new Galaxy Note variant of the latest flagship device, the South Korean home electronics company unveiled today the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 smartphone to accompany the Samsung Galaxy 9 and Samsung Galaxy 9+ flagships released earlier this year in February.
Samsung has made the Galaxy Note 9 its most powerful phablet to date by bringing an all-new powerful and innovative S Pen that will make you more productive throughout the day, a more powerful battery that will last all day long, and support for up to 1TB of storage with an expandable memory card so you delete less.
For the first time, Samsung brought the Samsung DeX technology to the Note, allowing users to connect their brand-new Galaxy Note 9 smartphone to a monitor, keyboard, and mouse for a full desktop experience where they can browse the Web, take notes, view photos and videos, and much more.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 features a generous 6.4-inch Super AMOLED 6.4-inch capacitive touchscreen with 1440 x 2960 pixels resolution, 18.5:9 aspect ratio, 83.4% screen-to-body ratio, and approximately 516 ppi density. The 16M colors beautiful screen is protected Corning Gorilla Glass 5, it's HDR10 compliant, and features Always-On display technology.
It also features a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 12 MP, f/1.5-2.4, 26mm, 1.4µm lens with dual pixel PDAF and OIS (image stabilization) and a 12 MP, f/2.4, 52mm, 1µm lens with auto-focus, image stabilization (OIS), and 2x optical zoom. On the front, the phablet has an 8 MP, f/1.7, 25mm, 1.22µm lens with auto-focus, auto-HDR, and dual video call.
Under the hood, the phablet is powered by either an Octa-Core Exynos 9810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, Mali-G72 MP18 or Adreno 630 graphics processor, and up to 8GB RAM. The smartphone also features up to 512 GB internal storage, a non-removable Li-Ion 4000 mAh battery, an iris scanner, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Connectivity-wise, the phablet supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless Internet with dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, and Hotspot support, Bluetooth 5.0 LE (Low Energy) support with A2DP and aptX support, built-in GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and GALILEO support, NFC, and a standard USB 3.1 Type-C 1.0 reversible connector for charging and USB connectivity.
The Galaxy Note 9 uses Google's Android 8.1 Oreo with Samsung Pay and Bixby 2.0 intelligent assistant support, it is available in Ocean Blue, Lavender Purple, Metalic Cooper, and Midnight Black colors, and comes as Single SIM or Hybrid Dual SIM variants. Last but not least, the smartphone features an all-new S Pen that supports Bluetooth Low Energy and numerous new capabilities.
Galaxy Note9 will be available worldwide unlocked or with a supported carrier in stores and online beginning August 24, 2018. While the 128GB Galaxy Note 9 will cost US $999.99, the 512GB Galaxy Note 9 only at select retail locations and online for US $1,249.99. Pre-orders will start tomorrow, August 10, 2018, at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
