The next major new product for Samsung is the Galaxy Note20, and while everybody knew the device would launch at some point in August, a specific date was yet to be announced.

And now leakster Ice Universe claims the Galaxy Note20 is due to be unveiled on August 5, most likely alongside a series of other devices, including the Galaxy Fold 2 and the Galaxy Watch 3.

Before we begin discussing all the rumors, it’s important to know this is something that’s yet to be confirmed, as Samsung hasn’t yet started sending out invites for what’s likely to be a digital event. The South Korean company is expected to announce the Note20 as part of an online-only Unpacked show due to an obvious reason, but an official teaser is likely to be released anyway as we get closer to the launch date.

If the Galaxy Note20 is announced on August 5, sales of the new device should begin later the same month.

Improved screen, new-generation processor

The rumor mill has a lot of information about the Galaxy Note20, but for the time being, nothing has been confirmed. For example, it’s believed the Note20 would be powered by a Snapdragon 865 processor and boast a 120Hz screen, most likely with an improved S Pen and possibly new capabilities.

The battery capacity could also be increased from the previous Note given the new display, while the camera setups are very likely to be similar to the ones available on the Galaxy S20 series.

Of course, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note20 with much fanfare, though one highly-anticipated moment is the release of the Galaxy Fold 2.

The new Galaxy Watch will also receive some love during the upcoming Unpacked event, so there’s a good chance we’ll have a lot to talk about approximately one month from today.
