The Android 12-based One UI 4.0 has long been a very anticipated release for Samsung users, and now that the rollout has started, everybody is very eager to get their hands on the new update.

However, it looks like the wait will be a little longer, the South Korean company has recently decided to suspend the rollout due to bugs found on select devices.

While very few specifics have been offered on these errors, a post on Samsung’s official community forums spotted by TizenHelp indicates that the company is working together with Google to get it fixed as soon as possible.

No ETA regarding the resuming of the rollout

The post, which was published on the Korean version of the forums, doesn’t include any ETA as to when the rollout could resume to devices out there.

“After the Android 12 One UI 4 update, an error was found on a few devices due to compatibility issues with Google Play services. The update was put on hold for a while, and Google is currently investigating. When the issues are resolved, the One UI 4 update rollout will be resumed, and we are working hard to make it happen as soon as possible,” the post reads.

Of course, the holiday season doesn’t help, so with Christmas just around the corner, there’s a chance Samsung users might have to wait longer than expected to get their hands on the new One UI 4.0.

In the meantime, Samsung is also busy giving the last-minute touches to the Galaxy S21 FE, a model that will see the daylight at CES in the first week of January and which should then go on sale towards the middle of the month. The Galaxy S22 is also just around the corner, as the Unpacked event could take place either in late January or in early February.
