There was a time when Samsung updates landed at a painfully slow pace, with some devices running super-old software while others were already on the newest release.

The South Koreans have managed to improve the update cadence of its devices, and every time new major Android versions go live, Samsung moves super-fast to ship it to its own smartphones.

This time, it’s Android 13 and One UI 5 the one that became available pretty fast, with Samsung itself bragging about how fast it moved in a press release in South Korea.

The company explains that Android 13 is already live for devices like the new-generation foldables, while also revealing that other models, including the Galaxy Tab S7 and the A52s, would get the update as soon as possible.

But what’s more important is that Samsung promises to do even better. In other words, when Android 14 goes live next year, the company wants to ship it faster to its devices, and this can only be good news for users out there.

Samsung explained in a separate press release that its beta programs work like a charm, helping the company prepare its updates for production devices.

“Samsung has worked hard over the last few months to make sure One UI 5 provides our best mobile experience yet, and in order to make sure these changes resonated with real users, Samsung received feedback from the thousands of Galaxy users participating in our One UI Beta program,” Samsung says.

“The One UI Beta Program ensures that Samsung delivers mobile experiences that truly meet the needs of Galaxy users. Through this program, participants can get early access to the interface and share their feedback to help create the best experience possible. This year saw Samsung open up its Open Beta program for One UI 5 earlier than ever before to ensure everyone had access to the exciting new user interface as soon as possible.”
