New ads making fun of Apple published by Samsung

Samsung has turned the notch into the motif of an entire series of ads supposed to make fun of its rival Apple. And after the notch guy showed up all alone waiting in line for an iPhone X and then together with his notch kid, he now returns with his notch wife as an entire family fully committed to Apple.

Samsung has released new ads poking fun at Apple, and just like before, the purpose of the three new videos is to emphasize the feature differences between its Galaxy S9 and the iPhone X.

Each video highlights one specific feature of the Galaxy S9 that isn’t available on the iPhone X, like the capability to use the entire screen estate for watching videos, multi-tasking, and microSD card support.

Without a doubt, these are the differences that could push some from iPhones to Samsung devices, despite Apple trying to tackle them in its own way. For example, instead of microSD card support, Apple is betting big on cloud storage, a feature that Samsung also makes fun of in these videos.

Samsung’s current sales

And while the ads are fun and everything, it’s more important to also have a look at what’s happening in Samsung’s mobile playground too.

The South Korean firm is focusing more on such ads in the last few months, and one of the reasons is that sales of its latest flagships aren’t going exactly as expected. In other words, the company may be trying to compensate for the slow sales with anti-Apple ads that could bring more iPhone users to its own portfolio.

The firm is already giving the finishing touches to the Galaxy Note 9, a new model that’s now expected to arrive earlier than usual, again in order to tackle the poor sales experienced by the current devices.
