14 DAY TRIAL // While all the eyes are on the Samsung Galaxy S10 coming next month, the South Korean firm has just confirmed that another model is set to go live in late January.
It’s the Galaxy M series, the device that made the rounds on several occasions in the last couple of months and which would technically be Samsung’s first phone with a notch.
However, Samsung’s phones would use a waterdrop notch at the top of the screen, hosting only the front-facing camera without 3D sensing capabilities.
Scheduled to become available on January 28, Galaxy M will most likely become available in three versions which have until now been referred to as M10, M20, and M30.
It’s believed the first model will come with just a single camera on the back, whereas the M20 will boast a dual-camera system. Eventually, the M30 will be equipped with triple rear cameras.
Triple-camera system on top model
As Samsung itself reveals on the M Series microsite, an ultra-wide camera will be offered on the new device, but most likely this will be exclusively available on the M20, also pictured on the page with a dual-camera system.
Samsung doesn’t say anything about the battery that will be offered on these models, but it does hint it will be quite large. In late 2018, it was speculated that the M series would come with 5,000 mAh batteries. However, USB Type-C and fast charging would be certainly offered.
The rest of the specifications are expected to be released in late January when the new phones become available for purchase. According to a report, the new M-branded models would first go on sale in India online via Samsung’s website and Amazon, but eventually make it to other markets at a later time.
Pricing shouldn’t be a setback, as Samsung wants to make the phones rather affordable, and it’s believed that at least one model would retail for approximately $200.
