The update is no longer up for grabs on the S10

The latest Samsung Galaxy S10 update was supposed to bring a plethora of improvements to this latest flagship released by the South Korean company, but what many users got, in fact, was a super-frustrating collection of bugs.

That’s right, the latest Galaxy S10 software update, labeled as XXU1ASE5, was filled with bugs, some of which caused app and even device crashes at random times.

As noted by SamMobile, some of the apps impacted by this issue include Twitter and Nova Launcher, but according to user reports, this behavior isn’t just limited to a certain selection of names.

Basically, this issue can cause any app to freeze at a totally random time, while in some cases, it could even crash the device altogether. This means there’s no other solution than to reboot the Galaxy S10, and it goes without saying this isn’t by any means a convenient workaround.

No solution right now

In fact, rebooting the device doesn’t seem to prevent the bug from returning to the impacted devices where the update was installed, and sooner or later, the freezing happens once again.

While some users have even tried a full reset, this doesn’t make any difference, as it’s all caused by the latest software that was installed on the Galaxy S10.

Samsung has already pulled the update, so it can no longer be installed on the S10, but on the other hand, this decision only comes in handy for those who haven’t yet deployed this update. In other words, if you have already installed the latest release and you’re experiencing the freezing bugs, there’s no other choice than to wait for Samsung to come up with a fix.

And of course, there’s no ETA as to when Samsung could roll out a new update to resolve these bugs, so fingers crossed for the company to ship it as soon as possible.
