And this could be the Galaxy Z Fold3 due in 2021

A few weeks ago when I reviewed the Galaxy Z Fold2, one of my remarks regarding the look of the phone is that it seems to be pretty chunky, especially when folded.

And this makes sense, especially since the foldable phone market is still in its early days, though it goes without saying Samsung and other companies investing in this industry are working to address such complaints.

And as it turns out, the upcoming Fold 3 could bring important improvements in this regard, as Samsung has reportedly promised a new foldable phone to come with what was described as a “slimmer and lighter design.”

No specifics were provided as to what model could get this improved look, but there’s no doubt it’s the Fold 3 the company is talking about, especially because this is the device the South Koreans are betting big on in the long term.

Big changes in Samsung’s phone lineup

2021 is projected to bring several important changes for the phone lineup belonging to Samsung, and it all starts with the Galaxy S series due in January.

People familiar with Samsung’s plans indicated the company wants to bring S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra, and this has made many people think the Galaxy Note would eventually be discontinued.

While this is very likely to happen, it won’t just take place overnight, and a Note21 is still expected to go live next year. But sooner or later, the Note lineup is likely to get the ax, most likely when Samsung completes the S Pen transition to the Galaxy S lineup.

The Note21 is expected to see daylight alongside the Galaxy Z Fold3 in June, so expect more information on these plans to make the headlines in the coming months.
