Samsung has finally taken the wraps off the new all-new Galaxy S22, and just as expected, there’s not much we didn’t know already.

Available in three different models, namely the Galaxy S22, the Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the new device is Samsung’s flagship in the fight against Apple’s iPhone, obviously without taking into account the foldable smartphones.

The S22 Ultra is the big star of the show, as it includes pretty much everything Samsung has to offer right now.

Sporting a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, the device also integrates an ultrasonic fingerprint, a multi-camera system, up to 1TB of storage and a maximum of 12GB of RAM.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra features the following camera configuration:

  • 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera: F2.2, FOV 120˚
  • 108 MP Wide Camera: F1.8, FOV 85˚
  • 10MP Telephoto Camera: 3x Optical Zoom, F2.4, FOV 36˚
  • 10MP Telephoto Camera: 10x Optical Zoom, F4.9, FOV 11˚
  • 40MP Front Camera: F2.2, FOV 80˚

Powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, the Galaxy S22 Ultra also comes with 45W wired charging support, Wireless PowerShare, and 15W wireless charging support. A wall charger is obviously sold separately.

The device will be available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, Green and Burgundy in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB and 1TB models with 8GB and 12GB RAM.

Needless to say, the S22 Ultra also comes with S Pen support, as this has become one of its signature features, obviously borrowed from the note.

“For the first time ever, Note users’ favorite built-in S Pen is coming to an S series device — and it’s the fastest, most responsive S Pen we’ve ever made. With 70% lower latency you can write and draw more naturally on your S22 Ultra’s expansive screen, and explore apps in new ways,” Samsung explains.

The S22 Ultra is already available for pre-order, with the cheapest model up for grabs for $1,200. The device will start shipping on February 25.
