And they don’t seem to produce anything exciting

The next big launch in the mobile market is likely to belong to Samsung, as the South Korean company is projected to take the wraps off its new-generation foldables at some point in the summer, most likely in August.

And now Yogesh Brar, who has a good track on mobile scoops, has provided us with a closer look at the specifications of Samsung’s most anticipated foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

At first glance, the new Fold isn’t necessarily a massive overhaul in terms of hardware, but on the other hand, it still comes with improvements in several key areas.

As far as the displays are concerned, the inner screen is going to be a 7.6-inch AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate, while the outer panel will come in the form of a 6.2-inch unit, also with 120Hz. In the case of the inner screen, it’ll offer a QXGA+ resolution, while the outer sibling will sport a HD+ resolution.

Launch could take place in August

Power will unsurprisingly come from the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which will be paired with a maximum of 16GB of RAM. This is where the most important upgrade is taking place, as the current model tops at 12GB of RAM.

For storage, customers will be allowed to choose between 256GB and 512GB.

The rear camera setup will sport a 50MP sensor paired with a 12MP ultrawide sensor and a 12MP sensor with 3x zoom.

Needless to say, the new Fold will run Android 12, with the latest version of OneUI. The battery department wouldn’t bring any upgrade, as it’ll include a 4,400 mAh unit with 25W charging.

Most likely, the new model will be announced in the summer, with sales to begin shortly after the event, possibly by the end of August or in the first week of September.
