We’re only a week away from the moment Samsung will take the wraps off the new-generation Samsung Galaxy Watch, and most of the details have already leaked.

Without a doubt, the Pro model is the version that’s catching so much attention these days, but as it turns out, Samsung is actually planning major updates for all devices in the lineup.

Leakster SnoopyTech has posted details about the charger that will ship with the Galaxy Watch 5, and if the information is accurate, Samsung fanboys are going to be provided with an important upgrade.

More specifically, the smartwatch will come with a 10W fast charger, which is a notable upgrade from the 5W charger that was available on the previous model.

Launch in just one week

You can only imagine how fast the fast-charging is going to be only by looking at the specs of the Galaxy Watch 4. Samsung says the Galaxy Watch 4 needs 110 minutes to go from 0 to 100 percent, so with a charger that’s twice as fast, expect the time required to fully charge a Samsung smartwatch to get very close to one hour.

The leakster says the device will be able to reach 45 percent in just 30 minutes, so in theory, the Galaxy Watch 5 should go from 0 to 100 percent in approximately 70 or 80 minutes.

The full information will be shared by Samsung itself at the August 10 Unpacked event when the company will also announce its new lineup of foldables. With a little luck, we should be able to get our hands on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 by the end of this month, though it’ll be interesting to see if the Pro model would come with a limited inventory at first or if Samsung already has the necessary stock to meet the demand.
