The next big announcement on Samsung’s agenda is the Galaxy S21 FE, which according to people familiar with the matter, should see the daylight as soon as January 3.

January is also expected to witness the debut of the highly anticipated Galaxy S22, but at the same time, the next month looks very likely to also bring us a new tablet too. SamMobile is reporting, and we can confirm from our own sources, that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra is expected to see the daylight in early 2022, and multiple individuals with knowledge of the launch told us the debut could take place in January as well.

There’s a chance Samsung wants to unveil the new tablet at CES as well, alongside the Galaxy S21 FE, but on the other hand, some say the company could wait a little longer in order to give its new smartphones more exclusive time on the market.

S Pen support, Samsung Health coming too

By the looks of things, the new tablet will sport a 14.6-inch display with super-slim bezels measuring just 6.3mm. The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor paired with a maximum of 16GB of RAM on the top-of-the-range configuration. Combined with 512GB of storage, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will be one of the most powerful tablets ever released.

The device will feature pretty much everything you’d expect a high-end device to come with, including Wi-Fi, 5G, Bluetooth, and fast charging. An 11,200 mAh battery will be in charge of offering impressive battery life.

Needless to say, it’ll support the S Pen as well, and interestingly, Samsung plans to also bring the Samsung Health app to the tablet. Most likely, the syncing with other devices will play a key role, but this is the first time Samsung’s health application becomes available on a tablet.

A new feature that will make its way to the new Tab is the so-called Extra Dim, which allows the display brightness to adapt to new levels when using the device during the night.

Of course, the Tab S8 Ultra wouldn’t be an affordable tablet, but the pricing information remains a mystery for now.
