In addition to the Galaxy S22, Samsung’s Unpacked event this week will also witness the debut of the Galaxy Tab S8, the company’s latest and greatest Android tablet.

And a leaked press release provides us with a full look at this new device, along with hardware specifications and press photos.

First and foremost, Samsung will offer three different versions of the tablet:

  • Galaxy Tab S8: 11-inch TFT screen, 2560x1600
  • Galaxy Tab S8+: 12.4-inch AMOLED screen, 2800x1752
  • Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: 14.6-inch AMOLED screen, 2960x1848

All versions will come with Android 12 pre-loaded and will support 5G connections. They will be powered by an octa-core processor built on a 4nm design.

The Ultra will be equipped with an 11,200 mAh battery and will be available with up to 512GB of internal storage, while microSD card support can be used to add another 1TB.

The other two versions will max out at 256GB of internal storage.

The Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra will only be available in Graphite, while its cheaper siblings will also hit the shelves in Silver and Pink Gold.

A fingerprint embedded into the glass will be available on the Galaxy Tab S8+ and the Ultra, while the standard model will feature a fingerprint sensor integrated into the side key. S Pen support will be available on all devices in the lineup, alongside quad stereo speakers, USB-C charging and Super Fast Charging with speeds up to 45W.

Samsung will begin taking pre-orders for the tablet shortly after the Unpacked event this week, but the shipping will only start on February 25. The timing is similar to the one of the Galaxy S22, though it’s believed only the Ultra model would hit the shelves this month.

The leaked press release did not include any pricing information on the Galaxy Tab S8, but Samsung will announce everything in just a couple of days anyway.
