The S22 Ultra will be workhorse in every single regard

Samsung’s Galaxy S22 is just around the corner, and needless to say, everybody expects the South Koreans to introduce some pretty huge upgrades.

This makes perfect sense, as the Galaxy S22 is Samsung’s flagship device, and it’s playing a massive role in the company’s mobile strategy.

And according to SuperRoader on Twitter, who obviously has a very good track on Samsung scoops, the firm is indeed planning something big on the Galaxy S22.

Just like it happened in the last few years, the Ultra model will be the one to come with the top-of-the-range specs, and for 2022, it’s being updated with a 1TB of storage option. At this point, however, it’s not yet clear if this 1TB model would launch together with the rest of the lineup or be introduced at a later time, but for Samsung and its users, this is pretty huge.

Especially when comparing the Galaxy S22 Ultra to Apple’s flagship iPhones, which are still lagging behind in terms of storage. Apple has long been rumored to add a 1TB option to the iPhone, but the upcoming iPhone 14 generation is unlikely to make this step either.

Launch in February

At the same time, the tipster says the Galaxy S22 Ultra could also come with 16 GB of RAM on the top model.

It goes without saying Samsung wants the Galaxy S22 Ultra to feature the best of the best, so also expect S Pen support, just like on the previous model. The cameras will most likely feature massive upgrades, along with a major CPU upgrade – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 could be offered alongside Exynos in some international markets, including in Europe.

We’ll hear more about the Galaxy S22 as we approach its launch date, with Samsung expected to take the wraps off this device in early February.
