This will be the most affordable Galaxy S10 version

Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series will also include a 5.8-inch version that’s likely to hit the shelves as the most affordable configuration of the new flagship.

The device is expected to be called Samsung Galaxy S10e and could be released as the South Korean’s answer to the iPhone XR.

As compared to the other models in the lineup, it will use a flat display with no curves and a single front-facing camera, also embedded into the glass thanks to the Infinity O screen.

However, one of the biggest changes concerns the fingerprint sensor, which won’t be placed under the screen, as it is the case of the more expensive versions, but on the side.

128GB of storage

Newly leaked press renders coming via WinFuture show that the fingerprint sensor will be integrated into the lock button and will be placed in the upper part of the right edge. This obviously limits its usability, as you would technically be able to use it with just one hand, but keep in mind that this is a 5.8-inch device, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to reach the button.

The Galaxy S10e will be offered in just a single configuration, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and will be powered by a 3,100 mAh battery. The device will boast a dual-camera configuration on the back and will be sold in black, green, white, and yellow. A blue version could follow at a later time.

Samsung will take the wraps off the Galaxy S10 lineup at the company’s Unpacked event on February 20, while sales are projected to kick off in early March.

Pricing for the Galaxy S10e on the Old Continent could begin at 749 Euros, according to recent leaks, while the Galaxy S10+ could go as high as 1,499 Euros.
