Samsung will take the wraps off the Galaxy S10 on February 20 at its Unpacked event, but no word has been said on when the devices would actually become available for customers.

While everyone knew it would be early March, no specifics were provided, despite Samsung believed to be in a rush to make the new lineup up for grabs worldwide.

Now according to a report from the ETNews (translated version), the South Korean phone maker wants to begin selling the Galaxy S10 on March 8, whereas the 5G version of the Galaxy S10+ would follow later the same month on the 29th.

However, it’s not yet known whether Samsung plans to embrace an approach similar to the one it used in the previous years and ship the Galaxy S10 earlier to customers who pre-ordered it. If this is the case, the first Galaxy S10 units could arrive at the doors of the first buyers on March 5.

Three models launching next month

The cited source also indicates that pricing for the base level would be set between $700 and $800, while the top versions could go as high as $1,600, most likely for the 5G version.

As it usually happens with new product launches, Samsung has remained tight-lipped on any specifics regarding the Galaxy S10 lineup. The company is expected to launch three different models, the top of which would be the Galaxy S10+ version with three cameras on the back and two on the front.

The device could also embed the fingerprint sensor into the screen and come with an Infinity O display that has the front-facing cameras placed under the front panel.

The base model, on the other hand, may feature just a dual-camera configuration on the back and a single front-facing camera. The fingerprint sensor could stay on the back, though there were reports claiming it may even be placed on the side of the device.
