14 DAY TRIAL // New information that leaked today claims to provide us with a closer look at the display that Samsung may use on the Galaxy S10 series.
While it’s important to note that we’re still far away from the rumored early 2019 launch of the Galaxy S10, some of the details that make the rounds these days do align with the information we previously had on the Samsung roadmap.
And according to new benchmarks published by IceUniverse on Twitter, Samsung Galaxy S10 could be upgraded to a 19:9 aspect ratio, which means that the screen may be even taller. This could be an indication that Samsung might implement a more advanced facial recognition system, so the top of the screen could be used for the front-facing modules.
The benchmark score was recorded on a device labeled as SM-G450F running Android 9 and Samsung Internet 9.0, which is presumably the mix that Samsung may use on the upcoming S10.
Four different models?
A recent leak indicated that Samsung’s Galaxy S10 series could include four different configurations, each with upgraded specs, so it’s not clear if the same screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio would be used across the entire lineup.
The top-of-the-range Samsung Galaxy S10 is expected to come with no less than five different cameras, three of which would be placed on the back, while the other two on the front.
One of the most interesting upgrades, however, concerns the fingerprint sensor, which is supposed to be embedded into the screen for the first time on a Samsung model. However, the latest leaks have indicated that Samsung may not be able to finalize this technology in time for the launch of the S10, and instead, the company could decide to move the reader on the side of the frame.
The debut of the new S10 should take place in late January or early February.
