Samsung could release the new Galaxy Note 9 in no less than five different colors, according to a new leak, and the device would obviously come with refreshed S Pen’s available in matching configurations.

Information that reached the web via Galaxy Club suggests that the August 9 unveiling will include five colors, namely black, gray, violet/purple, blue, and brown. Just as the previous versions, the device would be made entirely of glass, so these colors won’t have the standard look, but instead get a more special exquisite appearance.

For example, the brown version is more likely to be closer to gold, while black would be similar to the one that is currently available on the Galaxy S9.

The Galaxy Note 8, on the other hand, is offered in four different colors, namely midnight black, deep sea blue, orchid gray, and maple gold.

New S Pen features

Just as expected, the S Pen will also be sold in matching colors, as it is the case with the previous Note generations.

But as far as the S Pen is concerned, the same source claims the stylus would gain several new features, including capabilities allowing users to take pictures remotely using a dedicated button. At the same time, music playback controls would also be offered, and the S Pen would include a small battery that would support recharging when plugged into the smartphone.

The unveiling of the Galaxy Note 9 is projected to take place on August 9 in New York, and sales should begin later the same month. Only subtle changes would be made over the Galaxy Note 8 in terms of looks, as this is more of a transition model that Samsung uses to buy more time until it launches the more dramatically overhauled S10 in January 2020.

Full details will probably surface in the coming weeks ahead of the press event in early August.
