Samsung is believed to be working on a new Windows 10-powered device, and according to a recent Geekbench database listing, this could be part of the Galaxy product portfolio.

A report from WL and pointing to this Geekbench entry reveals that Samsung’s new Windows 10 device could be called Galaxy Space and come with 8GB RAM and a 2.84 GHz octa-core processor.

According to the same listing, the device scores 2011 points in single-core testing, and 6047 points in the multi-core benchmark.

Needless to say, other specifics aren’t available at this time, but it’s pretty clear that Samsung is working on expanding its PC lineup with another Windows 10 product.

While there’s no indication this is another member of the Galaxy Book series, Samsung could very well step into the world of Windows 10 on ARM with a Snapdragon 855 processor. At the same time, it’s too early to tell if this is a 2-in-1 or a conventional laptop, albeit many believe that at some point in the future, Samsung could also release a foldable device running Windows 10 as well in the coming years.

Neither Samsung nor Microsoft confirmed the device so far.

Possible launch next month

Samsung is getting ready to launch the Galaxy Note 10 at an event in New York next month, and the company could also take the wraps off other devices as well, including the Galaxy Watch Active 2.

If this is true, we could get to see this Galaxy Space running Windows 10 as well, albeit the company could also wait a few more months for the unveiling.

Microsoft itself is expected to launch new Surface models in the fall, and several other PC makers are likely to come up with their hardware upgrades for existing devices.
