Samsung is expected to launch new earbuds in January, and these are likely to be called Galaxy Buds Pro. Projected to see the daylight alongside the Galaxy S21, the new model will come with improved capabilities, but also with a higher price tag, and a leak today provides us with an early look at everything.

A slide shared on Twitter by WalkingCat reveals the Galaxy Buds Pro would cost $199, which makes then more expensive than the Galaxy Buds+ (available for $149 ) and the Galaxy Buds Live, which cost $169.

However, the new model will come with upgraded capabilities, and it all starts with active noise canceling and 2-way speakers. In addition, it features 3 microphones, just as many as the other models, Bixby integration, and an iPX7 rating.

To debut in mid-January

The battery life will match the one of the Galaxy Buds Live, though in some cases, it’s even lower. The play time will be 8 hours per charge and 28 hours with the additional juice provided by the case. On the other hand, the talk time is just 4.5 hours for the earbuds, while the case increases the autonomy to 15 hours.

The new earbuds will see the daylight in mid-January alongside the Galaxy S21 – Samsung is launching its new high-end model earlier this year, as it wants to offer it more exclusive time on the market. People familiar with Samsung’s plans said the Galaxy S21 would then go on sale in late January, which means it’ll finally arrive in the hands of customers approximately one month earlier than its predecessors.

Most likely, Samsung will also offer bundles with the Galaxy Buds Pro, so the earbuds could end up a little bit cheaper for those who also purchase the upcoming Galaxy S21 smartphone.
