Galaxy S10 might land with the same charging system

One of the highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S10 was expected to be an upgraded fast charging system that would have been able to provide up to 50 percent of battery level in record time.

While this is a feature that’s becoming more common on high-end devices these days, Samsung doesn’t seem to be in a rush to roll out an upgraded fast charging system.

The Galaxy S10 has recently been spotted on China’s 3C certification website, and the presented figures are similar to the ones for the existing models.

In other words, fast charging will indeed be offered on the Galaxy S10, but on the other hand, no improvements would be made in terms of how quickly the device would get a full battery.

Faster fast charging not yet ready

The S10 would thus feature the standard output with 5 volts and 2 amperes, while the fast charging would rely on a system with 9 volts and 1.67 amperes.

For many users, this is more than enough, as the existing fast charging system on Samsung phones does provide the convenience of quick battery recharging. But companies like Huawei has made huge progress in this area lately, and their devices could get nearly 50 percent in less than 30 minutes.

Of course, the Galaxy S10 is also expected to offer wireless charging, as well as a little extra, though no confirmation in this regard has been offered. The phone could include reverse wireless charging, which means that it would technically be capable of recharging other devices wirelessly.

The Galaxy S10 will see daylight on February 20, while sales are projected to begin in early March. There will be three models, as well as a 5G variant that is likely to hit the shelves at a later time.
