Report claims early build of the update already spotted

Samsung has never been in a rush to ship new Android versions to its devices, and this is both good and bad.

On one hand, not shipping an Android update on day one allows the company to further fine-tune the release, basically making sure that once this release goes live, everything works exactly as expected with no issues whatsoever.

On the other hand, holding back a new Android version for too long is frustrating for users who are eager to try out the new features, especially as companies like OnePlus, Nokia, and others typically roll out Android updates much faster.

However, it looks like Samsung might be trying to change that, as the company is reportedly already testing the Android 10 update for the Note 10.

Android 10 for Note10

The South Korean firm launched the Galaxy Note 10 last month, and with Android 10 going live earlier this week, it’s certainly surprising that the company is moving so fast on this front. As SamMobile notes, the Android 10 update for the Galaxy S10 is already in testing stage, and bringing the Note10 to the program is good news.

Of course, it’s too early to discuss timing details, as completing the development phase takes time and Android 10 won’t just become available overnight. Most often, Samsung begins the rollout of new Android versions by the end of the year for the Galaxy S lineup and in the first months of the next year for the Note range.

If this is the case, expect the beta testing program for Android 10 on both devices to kick off shortly, albeit keep in mind that running early versions of the operating system isn’t recommended on your daily drivers. Bugs in these early builds are something to be expected, and the purpose of the beta program is to fix them all in the first place.
