Developer CyberConnect2 has just confirmed the sequel to Fuga: Melodies of Steel, its critically-acclaimed RPG launched back in 2021. Unfortunately, no details about the second instalment in the series have been reveled, but the studio promised to offer fans more information about the game on July 28.

That said, we expect Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 to be released on multiple platforms just like the original game, including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. As far as the release window, it’s probably going to be schedules for launch sometime in 2023, but we’ll most likely learn more next week.

Although it’s been praised by both critics and players, we still think Fuga: Melodies of Steel didn’t receive enough attention from RPG fans. If you love RPGs with turn-based combat, we can’t recommend this game enough.

But you don’t have to take our word for it. If you play on PC, you can download a free demo of Fuga: Melodies of Steels via Steam. It might sound weird, but in Fuga: Melodies of Steel, you play as children who are part of a huge tank crew.

Each child has their own unique characteristics and skills, at different gun turrets inside the tank. But the armored vehicle is so massive, that they can live and develop their affinity amongst each other by doing various activities together, such as gardening, cooking and even … fishing.

The turn-based combat is enriched with various tactical and strategic features that players can take advantage of, including a very powerful ability that is typically only used in situations of crisis because it requires the soul of a child.

Also, Fuga: Melodies of Steel requires players to make many choices in order to progress, although the safest road may not always be the best option.
