After 6 years working on Superliminal, developer Pillow Castle Games announced that its forced-perspective puzzle game is now available for Windows PC via Epic Games Store. Although the game is priced at $20, those who purchase it by November 18 will receive a 15% discount.

Superliminal is a puzzle game within its own league since it's using perception as a mechanic. The single-player, first-person puzzle game puts players in the shoes of someone who wakes up in a surprisingly lucid dream.

Your objective is to complete puzzles in order to get to the next exit, but as you progress certain patterns and truths become more apparent. According to developers, in this game, everything is exactly what it seems to be, but also exactly the opposite, whatever that might mean.

The bottom line is Superliminal is a game about breaking expectations and thinking outside the box, so if you're up to the challenge, why not give it a try while it's on sale.

Even the premise of the game is interesting: as you fall asleep with the TV on at 3 AM, you remember catching a glimpse of the commercial from Dr. Pierce’s Somnasculpt dream therapy program. However, by the time you open your eyes, you’re already dreaming, thus begins the first stages of this experimental program.

Now, it's worth noting that Superliminal is also a puzzle game based on optical illusions. Many puzzles in the game will give you a sense of the unexpected. Its mind-bending puzzles will not only challenge players' perception, but it will also force them to think outside the box if they want to eventually wake up from the dream.

Surprisingly, there's a surreal story with hidden layers under all those quirky puzzles that you need to decipher, which should give players more reasons to keep solving these mind-bending puzzles.
