Microsoft’s Insider programs bring together users from all over the world and provide them with first-hand access to information and testing versions of products that are supposed to land for production devices at a later time, all with the purpose of refining these releases and making sure everything aligns with what everybody expects to receive.

And because these Insider programs are growing and growing, they have attracted the attention of other companies too, including Qualcomm.

This is why the chipmaker has launched the Snapdragon Insider program, which is supposed to help create a community of Snapdragon fans and provide them with exclusive access to new Snapdragon stuff.

“Snapdragon Insiders is a community of technology enthusiasts who have the opportunity to be among the first to celebrate, engage with, and experience the latest in what Snapdragon has to offer. Our goal is to bring together the community that loves Snapdragon,” Qualcomm explains.

“Snapdragon Insiders will be among the first to get news and announcements about Snapdragon-enabled devices. They’ll also have access to small-group interactions with content creators and Qualcomm experts.”

Focus on information

But as compared to Microsoft’s Windows Insider programs, which provide users with actual testing versions of unreleased software, Qualcomm’s is focused mostly on the information side and will thus include news and interactive content on mobile gaming, photography, audio, and other topics.

One interesting part of the program is the tutorial category, as Qualcomm wants to provide Snapdragon insiders with information on how to take better photos with a Snapdragon-powered phone. Because yes, right now, the biggest flagships out there come with Qualcomm hardware, so theoretically, anyone can become a Snapdragon insider and thus benefit from these free goodies.

The program has no specific requirements and is free for everybody who just wants to be part of the community.
