As expected, Sony has just revealed the PS Plus July games lineup and for once it looks like PS4 owners will be content. The Japanese company announced today that Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, NBA 2K20, and Erica will be available for free to all PS Plus subscribers next month.

All three games will be up for grabs starting July 7 and will remain free for PS Plus subscribers until August 3. On top of that, PlayStation confirmed that it will release a free PS4 theme later this week to celebrate 10 years of PS Plus. The theme will be available on PS Store for a limited time, so make sure to download it as soon as it's listed.

Furthermore, there will be a free online multiplayer weekend starting July 4 at 12:01 am through July 5 at 11:59 pm in your local time, aimed at those who haven't yet tried the online multiplayer benefit for PS Plus.

Typically, PlayStation offers just two PS4 games for PS Plus members each month, but since next month Sony will celebrate 10 years of PS Plus, the company decided to add a bonus game to July's lineup, which in this case is Erica.

We don't think Rise of the Tomb Raider and NBA 2K20 need any presentation, so let's talk a bit about the bonus game, Erica. First off, it's important to mention that this is a live-action drama that lacks 3D graphics, as developers opted for a very cinematic movie-like approach to make players like they are interacting with a film.

You play as Erica, a young woman plagued with nightmares of her father's murder. Every choice players make will influence how the game develops, with multiple endings awaiting players at the finale of the emotional branching narrative. Erica is an interesting experience that won't take too much time to finish, although it definitely warrants more than one playthroughs.
