Prisma has been one of the most impressive and popular photography apps this year, launching a trend with artistic filters that transform images into works of art, making them look like actual paintings. The update brings exciting new features and full resolution photos.

Prisma has just released an update to its Android and iOS apps, containing a new photo feed and full resolution photos. The new social feature makes sure that users stay inside the app when wanting to share their images, rather than sharing them on other social networks.

The update does make Prisma a photography application with social features for sharing and showing off your creations. The Android and iOS apps now have a profile tab with features for following other users and getting updates when they share new images. The feed section displays a list of trending pictures on the network, mainly the pictures that have received the most likes.

The GeoFeed displays trending images based on likes

Prisma will offer users the possibility to show images shared by people they follow, their most recent pictures and tap on a location to explore the pictures taken near there. The location-based GeoFeed displays images to nearby users based on the number of likes they get.

The range carries over to the next image that the user shares. Users can track their likes on an interactive map, built inside the app. Prisma has also ditched the square image format for images.

The app also brings full resolution to photos, doubling the amount from the previous version. The iOS version of the app allows you to adjust aspect ratio and has an additional full-screen camera mode. Over the past few months, Prisma brought filters to videos and Facebook Live, but the social networking company soon shut down the latter.
