14 DAY TRIAL // Against the Moon is an upcoming title that draws inspiration from card gamed like Slay the Spire, Hand of Fate, and Talisman. Featuring a post-apocalyptic setting, Against the Moon promises to offer a unique deck-building system and a compelling story to support it.
But first, it's worth mentioning that Against the Moon will be coming to PC (via Steam and GOG) on September 24. A console version of the game is expected to arrive in Q1 2021, but an exact release date hasn't been revealed yet.
Developed by Code Heretic, Against the Moon mixes elements of popular trading card games to create an epic strategy experience with a thrilling plot and unique visual style. In Against the Moon, players lead a squad of powerful superhumans trying to defeat the Furos, the nightmare creatures of the Moon, and restore humanity as the rightful rulers of Earth.
The game lets you craft your own deck, upgrade your cards, and level up your characters to combat your foes. Combat is turn-based and promises to challenge your tactical skills. Moreover, Against the Moon offers a new approach to deck-building: each card can evolve along two different paths, allowing you to adapt to your opponents’ strategy.
Each of the superhumans that you control has unique abilities, weapons, and most importantly, their own units to lead into battle. Although it might sound like an easy to learn the game system, players will find themselves challenged by Against the Moon's special missions that offer unique rewards.
As far as the story goes, Against the Monn features a lore-rich world of mystery and wonder. Players must uncover the origins of the strange and vicious beasts called Furos, and challenge the tyrant behind the invasion of Earth while bringing back the former glory of Arx, the last bastion of mankind.
Just like 99% of trading card games, every playthrough will be a new adventure, as players must combine mighty artifacts with a careful strategy and conquer the brutal wastelands.
