It’s all just a software bug, the company claims

If your iPhone 13 suddenly turns pink and the only way to recover it is a full restart, you’re certainly not alone.

This is because the pink screen bug is apparently becoming more and more widespread, affecting exclusively the iPhone 13 and unfortunately, without an actual workaround.

There are plenty of people online complaining of the same thing, and according to a recent report, Apple claims it’s all just software.

But on the other hand, no fix appears to be on the radar, so users whose iPhones turn pink all of a sudden currently have no other option than to just wait.

Reaching out to Apple Support

Needless to say, the first thing most people would when seeing the display on their iPhones turning pink is reaching out to Apple Support.

But someone here on the Apple discussion forums claims the Apple engineers originally believed it was a hardware problem, then blamed it on the software, and eventually claimed the problem went away after charging the device. It didn’t, the Apple customer says, and now a full fix is impossible to get.

“It happened to my 6 days old iPhone too. I brought the phone to the service center after I tried all the available solutions online. They confirmed it is hardware problem. I really do not want it to be opened for repair or replaced with a refurbished phone because it is practically very new. But I had no choice. After a few days they called me and said I can pick up the phone as it is not a hardware issue. That they only charged the phone and it worked. When I started setting it up, then the problem started again, and it is continuing to happen,” they say.

The next iOS update, which could land as soon as this week, doesn’t seem to include any fixes for the pink screen bug.
