Although Obsidian has been acquired by Microsoft, it looks like THQ Nordic still owns the right to publish one of the studio's previous titles – Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. Originally released on PC, the game will make it to consoles next year, the publisher announced.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire will come in the form of a Standard and an Ultimate Collector's Edition, and will be available on January 28, 2020, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The base game will cost €59.99 / $59.99 / £49.99, while the Collector's Edition will sell for €129.99 / $129.99 / £119.99.

In case you plan to buy the Ultimate Collector’s Edition, here is what you'll get in the package: Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire (including the 5.0 PC patch), and all DLCs: Beast of Winter, The Forgotten Sanctum, Seeker, Slayer, Survivor, 10"/25cm Od Nua Statue, Spacepig Keychain, Metal-optic 3D Sticker, and a Premium Box.

Several months after the game was released, Obsidian decided to add a turn-based mode to Pillars of Eternity: Deadfire II, which seems to have changed the gameplay radically and for the better. The classic real-time with pause combat remains, but players now have to option to choose between the two.
