Mysterious photo with blurred part believed to be a teaser

Microsoft has never confirmed the Surface Phone, but this hasn’t stopped diehard fans from dreaming about the moment the company launches this device.

The purported unveiling of this project has allegedly been pushed from one year to another, and now it’s believed that Microsoft could once again take the wraps off a new mobile device later this year.

Panos Panay, the head of Surface, decided this is the right time to fuel all the speculation once again, so he tweeted a photo that in addition to his desk, also shows a blurred object which many thought could be the eagerly-anticipated Surface Phone.

“Let’s hope the old adage ‘clean desk, clean mind’ is true #Thursday #ProductDay,” he tweeted, along with the photo that you can see in the article.

Obviously, it’s pretty hard to tell what’s behind the blur, but it’s believed this could be an indication that something big on the Surface front is approaching.

Andromeda anyone?

Microsoft’s new mobile device, which is codenamed Andromeda, comes in the form of a multi-form factor model that could serve as a laptop, tablet, and digital notebook, all thanks to a foldable screen approach and an innovative hinge design. While the unveiling was originally believed to be planned for late 2018, sources with knowledge of the matter said it could all take place sooner than expected, so this teaser could be a sign that this moment is approaching.

More information could possibly surface at the upcoming Build developer conference in early May, though Microsoft is more likely to use this event to highlight software improvements coming to Windows 10 with the Redstone 5 update in the fall of this year.

Obviously, there’s no point in getting your hopes too high because the blur could hide pretty much anything, even devices that may never see daylight.
