Panasonic has made available a new firmware package suitable for its DMC-GH4, namely version 2.5, which adds support for “Post Focus” function and implements 3 new 4K PHOTO modes: 4K Burst, 4K Burst Start/Stop, and 4K Pre-Burst options.

In addition to that, the present update allows DMW-FL580L  DMW-FL360L external flashes to be used in burst shooting, and also offers owners 100GB free storage on Google Drive for 2 years only to be used for photo/video data saving and accessed through multiple devices.

Moreover, AF-ON function can now be used during video recording, digital red eye correction accuracy is improved, and a few other minor issues get fixed.

When it comes to installation, first save and unzip the downloadable archive, transfer the “GH4__V25.bin” file onto a formatted SD card, and insert it into your camera. Now, turn on the device, press its “Play” button, wait for it to recognize the new firmware, and finally agree with the update process.

However, bear in mind that while installing you mustn’t turn the device off, use any of its buttons, or remove the SD card, battery, or lens. Doing so will interrupt the upgrade and might also lead to various device malfunction.

With this in mind, download Panasonic DMC-GH4 Camera Firmware 2.5, carefully update your camera’s firmware to the latest version, and constantly check our website in order to stay “updated one minute ago.”
