Microsoft seriously upped its game with Xbox Game Pass adding a bunch of important titles each month. Not to mention that after acquiring Bethesda, it made all of the studio's games available on Xbox Game Pass last week.

Well, as the saying goes, “it's not over until the fat lady sings.” Microsoft has just confirmed that Square Enix's Outriders will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch day, which means subscribers will be able to start playing the game for free on April 1 (not an April Fool's joke).

The downside is Outriders will only be available on console and Android devices via Xbox Cloud Gaming, not on PC. So, if you have an Xbox Game Pass for Console or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you'll be able to play Outriders as soon as the game launches on April 1.

If you haven't heard about Outriders, you can download the demo that developers released earlier this month and play for how long you want, the demo doesn't have a time limit. If you're playing on PC, make sure your rig meets the hardware requirements that are listed on Steam.

Outriders describes itself as “the most aggressive RPG-shooter in the genre.” The game feature four playable classes, each with their unique powers: Trickster, Pyromancer, Devastator, and Technomancer. While the names might sound quite interesting, they're just the standard roles players assume when playing team-based games: tank, damage dealer, support, and healer.

One other important thing to mention is that if you plan to try out the Outriders demo on PC, you'll need a Square Enix Members account, which is free to create on the publisher's official website.

If you don't own an Xbox console and you'd rather purchase Outriders on another platform, you'll be getting some free goodies if you pre-order the game: The Hell's Rangers Make and Female Gear Sets, The Hell's Rangers Arsenal of 11 unique guns, and The Hell's Rangers Truck Mods and Decals.
