14 DAY TRIAL // OnePlus just unveiled the OnePlus 6T, in 6.4-inch format and running on an Oxygen OS based on Android 9.0 Pie, and half the price of the top of the line smartphones launched by Apple, Samsung, and Google this year.
The OnePlus 6T features a 6.41 inches Corning Gorilla Glass 6 AMOLED 1080 x 2340 pixels display, with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with an Adreno 630 GPU and 6 or 8 GB of RAM (depending on the model).
Moreover, the OnePlus 6T comes with screen unlock tech which uses an optical in-display fingerprint sensor which "lights up the screen to register your fingerprint whenever you press the unlock area."
Additionally, although it also comes with Face Unlock, the OnePlus 6T replaces the rumored iPhone X-like notch at the top of the screen with a small dip in the display for the 20 MP HFR front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture.
The OnePlus 6T bundles a dual-camera system on the back, a 16 MP one and a 20 MP with f/1,7 apertures for the main lens, with optical image stabilization and NightScape tech designed to make low-light photographs look much better than in previous models.
Even though it has support for Face Unlock, the OnePlus 6T does not also come with the omnipresent notch on most other flagships from other manufacturers
The cameras also come with support for AI-based scene detection, Portrait Mode, Pro Mode, Time-Lapse, Studio Lighting, and RAW Image.
Furthermore, the just-released OnePlus 6T smartphone comes with a non-removable Li-Po 3,700mAh battery that also bundles fast charging capabilities, that should provide more than enough energy for a full day of using the device at full-throttle.
According to the live unveil, the OnePlus 6T comes in Mirror Black with a glass back panel and Midnight Black with a metal back panel finishes.
OnePlus 6T is compatible with FDD LTE, TDD LTE, TD-SCDMA, UMTS(WCDMA), CDMA, and GSM carriers, and according to its specs page it "supports up to DL CAT16/ UL CAT13 (1Gbps/150 Mbps) depending on carrier support."
The OnePlus 6T will be available for sale at 9 AM EDT on November 1, with a starting price of $549 for the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage model and $629 for the one with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal storage space.
