OnePlus unveiled on Wednesday the long-anticipated OnePlus 6 Android-powered smartphone during a live event that takes place in London, United Kingdom.

Featuring a smoother and higher quality glass build, the OnePlus 6 was unveiled today in London by Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus. The OnePlus 6 joins the notch design bandwagon, but it keeps the same size and layout of previous OnePlus flagships, though it's heavier and more fragile.

Available in Mirror Black, Midnight Black, and limited edition Silk White color options, the OnePlus 6 smartphone keeps the headphone jack and brings updated components to make it the fastest Android experience from OnePlus. The phone has been optimized for speed while still offering a smoother experience to users.

Powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 845 chipset, OnePlus 6 comes with Google's latest Android 8.1 Oreo mobile operating system and promises to offers customers regular security updates to keep their OnePlus experience safe and secure at all times. It also includes one of the fastest Face Unlock functionality in a mobile phone.

Technical specs of the OnePlus 6

OnePlus 6 features a 6.28-inch gorgeous display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and featuring 19:9 aspect ratio and 1080x2280 pixels resolution, an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor running at up to 2.8GHz, an Adreno 630 GPU, 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, and a dual rear camera (20MP + 16MP Sony IMX 519/376K).

Connectivity-wise, the OnePlus 6 features Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac with dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, and hotspot support, Bluetooth 5.0 LE (Low Energy) with A2DP and aptX HD support, built-in GPS with A-GPS, BDS, GALILEO, and GLONASS support, NFC, 4 x 4 MIMO Cat. 16/13 4CA, and support for 40 global mobile bands.

The OnePlus 6 price starts from $529 USD (€519 or £469) and will be available May 26, 2018, in Mirror Black and Midnight Black color options. The limited edition Silk White edition is launching June 6, 2018. Customers will be able to purchase the OnePlus 6 with either 64GB, 128GB or 256GB storage options.

OnePlus 6 is accompanied by the OnePlus Bullets Wireless in-ear headphones, which have been unveiled by OnePlus today during the live event in London. The headphones feature a magnetic design that lets users easier power them on and off simply by putting the earbuds next to each other or take them apart.
