When Microsoft started the work on the Chromium-powered Microsoft Edge version, the software giant promised it would make the transition from the legacy build of the application as smoothly as possible.

In other words, Microsoft’s objective was to bring all features from the legacy version of the browser to the Chromium-based application, all in an effort to make the switch from one to another seamless.

And now Microsoft is getting ready to bring another Microsoft Edge legacy feature to the Chromium app.

As Leopeva64-2 noticed, the latest Canary build of Microsoft Edge comes with options to pin a sit to the Start menu. In other words, if you rely on the Start menu for everything you do on Windows 10, Microsoft is now updating the Microsoft Edge browser with an option that will let users pin sites to the Start menu for quick access.

To do this, all you need to do is head over to the More tools menu section where a new option called Pin to Start is waiting for your click. The process is as straightforward as possible and obviously doesn’t require more than a couple of clicks.

Currently available in Canary

The new feature works with pretty much any website out there, but right now, keep in mind that it’s currently available in the Canary build exclusively. Microsoft is yet to officially announce the new functionality, so an ETA as to when it could go live in the production build of the Edge browser isn’t available right now.

Needless to say, this feature will only be available on the Windows 10 version of the browser – Edge can now be installed on macOS too, and a preview version of Linux will also go live soon.

You can try out the new feature by installing Microsoft Edge Canary version 87.0.662.0 on Windows 10 today.
