PAX East is going to be the host of a very interesting Obsidian Entertainment panel about their upcoming Sci-Fi RPG “The Outer Worlds.”

Obsidian Entertainment is a name that’s synonymous with RPG game. For more than 15 years, the studio has been making role-playing games, ranging from Star Wars to South Park, and now The Outer Worlds.

The news about their upcoming Sci-Fi game was overshadowed by the fact that Microsoft acquired the studio, but this move doesn’t seem to have quenched their thirst for making quality role-playing titles.

Looking towards the future

Their upcoming PAX panel is going to be called “The Outer Worlds: Obsidian Looks to the Future By Visiting the Past,” and developers promised to reveal more gameplay. Unfortunately, the news comes right after “The Outer World” become an Epic Store exclusive, and the community didn’t receive that information all that well.

In any case, some of the people that will take part in the panel are Co-Game Directors Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky (Fallout, Vampire: The Masquerade), Megan Starks (Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire), along with Megan Starks (Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire) and Charles Staples (Fallout: New Vegas, South Park: The Stick of Truth).

In case you didn’t already know this, The Other Worlds is an FPS role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment. Some gameplay details were previously revealed a few months ago, and we have to say that it looks a lot like Fallout, in space, which is not a bad thing by any stretch.

The game is being built on the Unreal Engine, and the story takes place into the distant future when humans have started to colonize other planets, in different solar systems. Hopefully, more details about the story will be revealed at the PAX panel which will begin March 30th, at 07:00 p.m. CET / 06:00 p.m. GMT / 2:00 p.m. EDT. The panel will also stream live on Twitch on the official PAX East channel.

The Outer World is scheduled to be released in 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
